Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 – Sword vs Spirit is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language historical action adventure film directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and A. M. Jyothi Krishna from a screenplay by Jagarlamudi and Sai Madhav Burra. The story follows the first Indian to orchestrate a revolt against the Mughal empire, focusing on the early life of Veera Mallu and his mission to raise revolution against the ghastly actions of the army generals in the Mughal empire. It is set in the 17th-century Mughal Empire and tells the story of this legendary outlaw who fought against oppression.
The movie features a star-studded cast, with Pawan Kalyan playing the lead role of Veera Mallu. The film stars Pawan Kalyan in the titular role alongside Bobby Deol, Nidhhi Agerwal, Nargis Fakhri, and Nora Fatehi. The cast also includes Arjun Rampal and Adithya Menon, making it a pan-Indian project with actors from different film industries. Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravaani has composed the music for this high-budget pan-India entertainer, adding another layer of prestige to the project.
The film has faced several delays in its release schedule. The film was later scheduled for release on 28 March 2025 but was postponed as many portions of the shoot were incomplete. The film was scheduled for 9 May 2025 but has been postponed once again. It is now scheduled to be released on 12 June 2025. The period action-adventure is set to hit theaters worldwide on 12 June 2025 in multiple Indian languages. The film is produced by A Dayakar Rao under the Mega Surya Production banner, with veteran producer AM Rathnam backing this prestigious project.
Production began several years ago, with the film officially announced in January 2020, with principal photography commencing in September 2020. The film was predominantly shot in Hyderabad on several legs. The movie represents Pawan Kalyan’s return to historical cinema and marks his first pan-Indian film, creating high expectations among fans across different regional markets.
